  • Monster zero sugar - 2 net carbs
  • Piece of gum- 1 net carb
  • Burger with cheese and onions- 2 net carbs
  • 1/2 cup broccoli and cheese- 6 net carbs
  • 2 bottles of water
Total: 15 net carbs


A little disappointed that the scale stayed the same, but I just have to keep at it! We'll see how the diet soda and energy drink affects the scales, but I was seriously craving some caffeine today.

I dropped another pound! I haven't been having that hard of a time so far, except for when my boyfriend was eating steak n shake right in front of me earlier tonight. Going from being a daily fast food binge eater EVERY DAY, I'm pleasantly surprised how well I'm keeping on track. Low carb is a good fit for me because I'm never STARVING. I can eat whenever I'm hungry just as long as the carb count is low! Also, I just found out I'm going on a cruise for my 21st birthday about 5 weeks from now, so that gives me even more motivation to keep going!

Happy to see some progress from just one day! I'm pretty hungry but feeling determined. It hasn't been that hard to stick to 20 net carbs and even though the 3 lbs loss is just water, it's a huge motivation! Hopefully I'll start including exercise soon after I've gotten a little more accustomed to the diet.

A fresh start

Day 1

Today is the first day of getting my body back. I feel more dedicated than ever and I'm excited for the change! I have become an extreme binge eater and I've put on a good 15 pounds within the last year. I figured a low carb diet would be great for me because I can still eat whatever I want (in moderation) just as long as my carb count is low (preferably under 20 net carbs). I plan on weight training and doing some cardio as well. Having this blog will help me to keep up with what I eat as well as to have something to report to every day so I'm less likely to stray from my diet. Here goes nothin!
